HARKIN LLOYD WIN LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR AWARD
In the inaugural awards Harkin Lloyd won the prestigious award held at a ceremony at the Legal Awards Dinner in Liverpool.
The awards were voted by their contemporary solicitors after a shortlist was compiled by leading legal and business professionals.
The law firm of the year category had two other competitors: Brabners Chaffe Street who were named as one of the UK’s best companies in the Sunday Times Best 100 companies to work for Awards 2007 and DLA Piper UK LLP, a large commercial firm with over 34 International offices.
The Law Firm of the year award ultimately went to the two partner practice run by Jean Harkin and Rachel Lloyd.
Rachel Lloyd, 'It was a real David and Goliath scenario with our competitors each established many many years ago with million pound turnovers and our small specialist firm.'
Jean Harkin, 'It was good to see that the legal profession recognised the important work we carry out, in particular for our clients that have been exposed to asbestos.'
